What I Wish They’d Say—Alex Luu Imagines the Positive Possibilities of Coming Out Conversations with Parents
Alex Luu and Jasmine Rafael both identify as queer, Asian American, poets. They co-wrote and co-star in What I Wish They’d Say, a video that opens front and center with the question, “What do I wish my parents told me when I came out?” and goes on to imagine a scene where Asian American parents say the things their children would want to hear when they come out.
